The Hoggs of Fife Sportsman II Waterproof Fleece Jacket is an updated version of the popular classic that Hoggs have sold throughout the years. Increased waterproofing and warmth come from the improved performance base fabric and technical design. It also has the edge on a day out on the shoot having been designed to be incredibly quiet with multiple pockets and reinforced shoulders.

Sportsman II jacket
This jacket is superbly warm and comfortable. Very stylish, too. If I lived in British Columbia, or the Highlands of Scotland, or perhaps Tierra del Fuego, this would be my favorite. However, it is simply too heavy a jacket for the milder climate of Northern California where I live - had to return it. I wish there was a less bulky alternative (the original Sportsman jacket?). I would have given 5 stars but I was upset that it cost me nearly the price of the jacket to send it back for a refund.
