    Excellent wellie

Posted by Maire Lee on 12th Sep 2019

This is the second pair I have bought after a lifetime search for the perfect wellie. Says it all, really. Comfortable to walk long distances with the dog over testing terrain: easy to remove thanks to the reinforced heel spur...... just bash it against the doorstep and pull. First pair lasted a year until they started leaking at the bend of the foot, so I would have been happier if they had lasted longer, obviously, but still felt I wanted to repeat the purchase.

    Good Value

Posted by Bill Davies on 10th Sep 2019

I have worn those well branded wellington boots for years that used to be made in Scotland! You probably know the brand I am talking about. Now they are mainly made in China I fear the quality has dropped and the last two pairs I have owned have been disappointing.
I read good reviews about these Hoggs of Fife boots so i decided to try them and I must say for the price they are very well made and also very comfortable straight out of the box. I have only just started to wear them so time will tell but so far I am very impressed. They are a good solid boot with good Vibram soles that have good tread and very good internal cushioning in the foot bed. I take a size 8 and they are very slightly big which gives me plenty of room to wiggle toes but also gives me the opportunity to wear thicker socks if needed.
They are heavier than other boots I have owned but it is not a problem. They are somewhat difficult to remove although they have a heel stub but i find you really need a boot puller to make them easier to remove.
All in all very pleased but as I said time will tell but I am very hopeful!!

    So far so good

I am very impressed with these wellies. They are very comfortable and tough. I needed wellingtons to cope with lambing season and these fit the bill perfectly. well worth the extra expense. Only slight downside is they can be too warm, especially when you are working hard all day.

Took a while to chose these after sending others back (different suppler).
Thank you Beth for all your help and knowledge,
I think the video you made of each welly was a great idea.
    Many thanks Beth.

    Your feet go in them

Posted by Unknown on 14th Sep 2018

They are Wellington boots that you put your feet into and they keep them dry and warm.
Amazing invention and can't think why someone hasn't thought of these before.
Next someone will come up with a machine that slices bread.

Good quality wellies . A bit tight at first around the ankle but sure they will loosen up after a few wears.

    Nice fit

Posted by Ally L on 11th Apr 2017

A wellington I got a half size bigger to accomadate thicker walking socks. Very comfy in foot pad and sidewalks are thicker. I would say I like the grip very well and would say are best suited to winter conditions due to wall thickness and heat retention. A nice variation in colour than usual pale types. Still to evaluate longevity.

Early days but more than pleased with them.

Discussed with Bethan before going to pick the boots up about 3 weeks ago. Very tight fit when trying on but have loosened off now. Very comfortable and warm, glad I went for the neoprene rather than cotton. Vibram sole excellent for walking
