How to Clean a Ridgeline Coat
If dirt and grime remains on the fabric for a long period of time, it will eventually start to affect the performance of the fabric. Therefore keeping the jacket clean is vital for its effectiveness.
As all Ridgeline jackets have a waterproof and breathable membrane, extra care is needed to clean the fabric without causing damage. The key to remember is to avoid all ordinary detergents, detergents that contain fabric conditioners and bleach. These products will cause damage to the fabric and membrane, reducing the overall performance of the jacket.
As recommended by Ridgeline, it is best to use a specialist-cleaning product that is specifically developed for washing clothing which contains a membrane, such as Nikwax.
