  1. Reliable boot, good value for money 5 Star Review

Posted by on 14th Jun 2017

This is my fourth pair of Grisport Storm boots. The first pair were so comfortable and reliable that I began buying replacement pairs to put on the shelf whhenever I saw them at a good price.
unfortunately my last pair failed earlier than expected, so I had to take whatever was available.
The first two pairs completed almost 1,600 miles each before cracking at the flex point on the outside of the left boot, having been used twice a week over rough moorland, through the depths of winter and through scrubby heather.
That's very good going for a modern boot at any price.
The third pair. I regret to say, failed in the same way after less than 1,000 miles, so I'm hoping that doesn't signify a change in manufacturing processes. To be fair, that's the distance that a friend achieved with a boot that cost twice the price.
I thought Grisport might be interested in knowing how their boots fared in the sort of week-in, week-out demanding conditions to which I subject them, and particularly in the fact that every pair fails in the same way, but I didn't receive as much as an acknowledgement to an email.
I should mention that once they come off my feet, my boots are always treated with tender care, with slow drying if necessary (I have a second pair of stand-by boots to use when the Grisports are wet) and regular applications of Tripsdale Expedition Wax.

  2. Buying similar boots again 4 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Jul 2015

About 4 years ago I bought Grisport Storm boots after much research, as I was looking for size 12 wide fit, rugged and comfortable. After about 3 years the boots after regular walking in East Anglia started to wear more significantly on heels and also the sole. A great boot.

Over the past year wear became more significant so I looked online for the same product. Cherrytree Country Clothing had the best deal with free postage. Delivery and notification from CCC was first class. I will certainly visit their website for other purchases.
